A challenging project in and around an existing brook involving the installation of stone faced gravity gabion mattressing and retaining walls on one side with soil nailed & slope reinforcement/geocoir and topsoil to support a steepened bank and existing adoptable cycleway on the other.
Works had to be carried out in predetermined sections to maintain temporary stability of the cut banks whilst carrying out stream diversion works and pumping and realigning water courses including temporary measures to divert water from the working areas as dictated by site conditions.
The stabilised slopes and walls were then landscaped and planted to the approval of the Local Authority.
